The White Cliffs of Dover have stood for millennia and have long been regarded for their role in the nation’s identity. Both Shakespeare and Wordsworth have written of their beauty and described the cliffs as "A place of savage beauty".

 

The Countryside around St Margaret's is part of the protected landscape of the Kent Downs, valued for its rare chalk grassland and great variety of wildlife. This is where the Downs meet the sea and there is certainly no shortage of things to do.
