First Light coast & country is the perfect year-round destination, there's no shortage of things to do whenever you come.
In the summer, you can enjoy the excellent beach at St. Margaret's Bay, hit the countryside trails with your bike or soak up the sun on a leisurely amble along the cliff tops, before stopping for a refreshing drink at one of the many excellent local pubs or restaurants.
Come winter, the weather brings fantastic conditions for wind and kite surfing out on the bay, and you can't beat a bracing walk on the cliffs, breathing in the fresh sea air and staring out at the view of France only 20 miles away across the English Channel.
We can't guarantee the weather, but you'll be pleased to know Kent benefits from one of the mildest climates in the UK, mostly due to its nearness to the continental mainland and the channel flow (warm sea water acting as a reservoir of heat from the summer which helps to keep coastal areas milder overnight than inland areas in autumn).
